Laying a Great Foundation for Children Moving Up to Kindergarten.
North Carolina Pre-Kindergarten, which is a FREE, state-funded, high-quality pre-kindergarten educational program designed to enhance school readiness and prepare four-year-olds for Kindergarten. To meet the age requirement, your child must be four on or before August 31 (must be born on or before August 31) along with the prerequisite additional criteria.
We have teachers who will facilitate learning to our little learners. The kids will spend most of their time doing hands-on activities specifically tied to academic principles. They will start practicing how to write. Through multiple concepts of learning such as building castles out of blocks, playing shape matching games with clay or muffin tins, arranging flowers, or helping care for the class pet during Science time, they will for the early part of their lives feel pride in being able to write their name, learn their letters and its sounds, recognizing colors and shapes, and being prepared for kindergarten.
The program requires that children be prepared in the following five domains:
- Approaches to Learning
- Emotional and Social Development
- Health and Physical Development
- Language Development and Communication
- Cognitive Development
